The SRDR group and Prof. Young Joo Lee held the 8th Asian-Pacific Symposium on Structural Reliability and Its Applications (APSSRA 2024) successfully. The first APSSRA was held in Tokyo, Japan, in November 1995. Since then, APSSRA has been held every four years in various Asian cities including Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, and Tokyo. The 8th APSSRA was held in Ulsan, Republic of Korea, from 29 September to 2 October 2024. The symposium is organized by the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), and Prof. Young Joo Lee served as the chair. There were 4 keynote presentations and 95 oral presentations, in total 99 presentations, and over 180 registrants shared recent technology developments and cultivated friendship and future collaborations in structural engineering including structural reliability.
