The Structural Reliability and Disaster Risk (SRDR) group attended the Korea Institute for Structural Maintenance and Inspection (KSMI) Conference 2016 along with Smart Infrastructure and Systems Laboratory group (Advisor: Prof. Sung-Han Sim) of UNIST, which was held in Jeju Island, South, from Apr. 6th to Apr. 8th. The conference gave the students an insight on the current research works and developments going on in the field of structural maintenance and inspections and opportunities for networking. The conference also saw the Graduate student Jaebeom Lee presenting his research on "Flood fragility curve derivation using finite element reliability analysis".

Apart from attending the conference, the group enjoyed a leisure time on the Jeju island (also known as the "Island of Gods") by visiting scenic places and trying different Korean cuisines, which was an exciting and new experience especially for international students.
