On Feb. 21, 2019, Prof. Lee received the achievement award from the Korean Society of Hazard Mitigation (한국방재학회 공로상).

Prof. Lee was appointed vice-chairman of the Underground Safety Committee of Ulsan Metropolitan City. The committee will investigate the safety management plan for the underground facilities and review the system improvements necessary for the underground safety management of the city.

The Structural Reliability and Disaster Risk (SRDR) group attended KSCE 2018 Convention, which was held in Gyeongju, South Korea, from Oct. 17th to 19th. At the conference, three papers were presented:

1) 탁혜영, 이영주 (2018). 시스템신뢰성 해석을 활용한 도시주변 노후 도로망의 성능 평가
2) 이상목, 이영주 (2018). 강철도교의 하중 구성에 따른 확률기반 피로수명 평가
3) 심창수, 이영주, 전치호 (2018). 긴장재 부식을 고려한 PSC 교량의 장기성능 예측 기술 개발

The Structural Reliability and Disaster Risk (SRDR) group attended the 9th International Conference on Bridge Maintenance, Safety and Management (IABMAS 2018), which was held in Melbourne, Australia, from July 9 to 13. At the conference, Prof. Lee made a presentation about Probabilistic fatigue life prediction employing an advanced crack propagation model. In addition, during the conference period, Prof. Lee visited Griffith University (at Gold Coast) and VicRoads and communicated with the researchers.
